About

Artist, Bookbinder and Educator

I’m an artist, bookbinder, and educator based in New Hampshire. I graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Studio Art. It was in college that I was first introduced to and fell in love with bookbinding through a summer job in the library’s conservation facility. I’m a juried member of the League of N.H. Craftsmen for Mixed Media/Bookbinding and enjoy teaching local workshops in bookbinding and art journaling.

Creative Process

I create art to show the beauty I find in everyday moments, and to process my personal history, experiences and daily life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend.

My artwork and handmade books seek to explore the connection between the natural world and memory, the tangible and intangible ephemera that we inherit from past generations, what remains, and the power of place and personal geography. I incorporate many different mediums into my art and books including painting, printmaking, collage, drawing, and cyanotype.

Collector

I love collecting books, vintage photos and paper ephemera, often using them as inspiration and resources. Other things I love to collect: rocks, shells, vintage tins, ribbons, postage stamps…and more!
